1. Have a good sleep
We’ve been told to have 8 hours of sleep for years, and while that isn’t always possible, it is important to try and get as much sleep as we can for a range of reasons. Sleep improves memory, helps improve creativity, and reduces stress levels. People who have more sleep are also proven to be happier.
2. Take your vitamins
Whether they’re vitamins to help with sleep, iron deficiency or to boost immunity, or daily women’s vitamins, it’s a good habit to get into. There’s nothing worse than coming down with a cold right in the middle of your busiest time of year! Get some natural vitamins in you and you’ll be ready to take on the world.
3. Drink lots of water
It’s recommended to drink 8 glasses of water every day, and there are so many positive health benefits to drinking water. Water helps with weight loss, energy levels, healthy skin and healthy organs. Fancy up your water by adding lemon, mint, fruit, or cucumber, and sip it in the sun while you’re relaxing.
4. Try Yoga
Get into a downward dog, take on a warriors pose, or salute the sun. You don’t have to be super flexible to try out yoga! It’s an easy way to relax and de stress. With yoga places popping up all over the place, it’ll be easy to find a local yoga studio.
5. Go for a walk
Grab your gal pals and hit the beach, park, or the footpath. Walking is a great way to exercise without the pressure, sweat and routines. Whether you’re just walking around the block or branching out and taking on a bush walk, walking is a great way to stay physical and catch up on all the gossip.
6. Eat healthy snacks
Whether it’s a packet of almonds instead of a packet of chips, or an apple instead of chocolate, replacing unhealthy snacks with healthy ones can really make a difference. Healthy snacks give you more energy, and with hundreds of different options out there you can afford to have a cheat day once in a while.
7. Think positively
Negative and unhealthy thoughts can have more of an effect on our bodies and everyday life than you’d think! It’s so important to look for the good in situations and make an active effort to think positively. Not only can positive thoughts increase your happiness but can also have a great effect on your attitude an outlook.
8. Remember to breathe
Sometimes you just need to take a second to breathe. Whether it’s in the morning on the drive to work after a frantic morning, after a slight disagreement with a friend, or a tiring day, breathing is the best way to calm down and get a new perspective.
