Due to be released on May 5th, this one is worth an adventure out to the cinemas for. If you’re after something a little bit different, artistic and insightful Anomalisa is definitely worth a watch. Although it was technically released on December 30th, we’re once again going to round up and pop it in the ‘practically-2016’ category. This
adult stop-motion comedy-drama focuses on the life of a lonely customer service expert whose mundane life is shaken up when he meets a unique woman. It was the first animated film to win the Grand Jury Prize at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival so is most definitely not just another cartoon.

The Jungle Book

Another one worth seeing on the big screen, this live-action version of a childhood Disney classic – both drawn from Rudyard Kipling’s works is beautiful and dramatically recreated. Although only PG rated, there’s something for everyone in this film, regardless of if you see it to reminisce over your childhood or just because it’s an amazing film.

  • Finding Dory – June
  • Suicide Squad – August
  • Doctor Strange – November
  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – November
