As part of our business strategy last year we made a decision that rather than pursue traditional forms of media advertising, we wanted to explore how PR could help us achieve our objectives. Akarua is a boutique Central Otago wine producer and we felt that our needs would be best met by really focusing on opportunities to broaden our appeal to our target market. Wine is such a competitive industry so to stand out and tell unique stories about your brand is essential. After a lot of research we decided to appoint The Generalist as our PR partner. The size of their agency really appealed to us as we knew that from day one we would be getting very focused and specialised attention. We also highly valued the great networks and relationships that they have built up over time and that their expertise also covered a broad range of areas including sponsorship and events. One of the key things that a large number of people told us was that PR does take time and that perseverance is key. After about 3 - 4 months we started to see some great results filtering through for our brand and sales have certainly followed suit. We are consistently getting a lot of comments from people that our brand has been really "noticeable" in recent times, which is fantastic. Working with a very focused and enthusiastic team is key to the success. The more the team at The Generalist get to know about Akarua, the greater the opportunities that will develop.
T.G.PR are AMAZING! What a super-proactive and hard-working team! We couldn't rate them more highly for PR and experiential activities. With their innovative campaign ideas, attention-grabbing media kits, incredible event-management, and stand-out PR launches, they really do think of everything! It's an absolute pleasure to work with such an awesome team, and we look forward to more campaign successes going forwards.
I was introduced to The Generalist team through a colleague in a previous role. It is rare to meet with a company where the entire team work in a completely compelling and engaging way. Rebecca, Lee and all the TG PR crew have made the complex and frequently fraught with danger business of public and media relations simple and reassuring from the very first meeting. One of the statements I remember they told me was, "PR takes time to build momentum and comes in an unexpected wave". What we got was almost instantaneous placement and response to our activity. The results were simply incredible. I am looking forward to the opportunity of working with the TG PR team again.
