Brand Ambassadors

Whilst PR and advertising might get people to your door, once there, they are still faced with your competitors. This is where product demonstrating and experiential sampling can come in handy to make the switch to your brand.

Having previously owned one of New Zealand’s largest promotional company for 12 years, director Rebecca Purdy knows what it takes to turn consumer curiosity into actual sales. Our professional NATIONWIDE team of sales promoters and brand ambassadors ensure customers are well educated on your brand philosophies and key selling points.

Operating in 6 key markets throughout New Zealand our team of both in store and experiential ambassadors act as an extension of your business to help with sales in key stores or out and about in the public arena. Some clients have used our staff to help key customers with their buying decisions – these are called Asle Angles and have proven to be very effective when it comes to purchasing one product over a competitors product.

At The Generalist we aren’t fans of replicating the same old cookie cutter experiences, so this arena is for clients who really want to shake up their marketing and create wow factor for their consumers.

COLD POWER

In 2016, Cold Power took on the sponsorship of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic Netball team. The Generalist PR joined the team in order to initiate an experiential activation for 8 games between Rotorua, Hamilton and Tauranga.

In-Store – Case Studies

Electrolux

In September 2013 The Generalist PR set-up regular in store demonstrations for Electrolux and has managed every element of this campaign ever since.
The campaign covers Farmers and Briscoes stores across four key regions – Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
The Generalist PR manages the campaign in all respects – from recruitment, ensuring full and proper training on Electrolux vacuums to liaising with stores and retailers – to promote Electrolux as the number one floor care brand in New Zealand.

Sunbeam

Over 6 weekends from November 1, 2014, Sunbeam demonstrators covered 10 retailers and 44 individual stores to demonstrate the Sunbeam Blender on the Go and Slow Sieve Juicer.

The Generalist PR managed a team of 18 staff across 4 regions (Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch) to increase Sunbeam’s brand presence and consumer awareness in the crucial time leading up to Christmas period. The presence of Sunbeam promoters also helped to encourage a positive relationship between Sunbeam as a supplier to key retailers by offering transfer of product knowledge at ground level.

Kiwicare

The Generalist PR was proud to assist Kiwicare – a New Zealand company, offering lawn care, weed and pest control products that are designed, produced and tested in local conditions.

Kiwicare requested a team of enthusiastic representatives to promote and educate consumers on Kiwicare’s lawn and weed control ranges at selected Bunnings stores. The Generalist PR recruited the team, attended training and managed the campaign for increased brand presence in the highly competitive retail space.
