NEW ZEALAND AVOCADO IN-STORE DEMONSTRATIONS WITH BRANDED PHOTO AP

About This Project

The Generalist Promo Brand Ambassadors undertook 30 x 4 hr In-store supermarket sessions in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. They offered samples of beautiful New Zealand Avocado on a rice cracker with prosciutto and cherry tomatoes which were prepared and offered on a tray. The sessions were mobile which allowed them to be right by the Avocados in-store.

The brand ambassadors worked in pairs, with one person handing out samples and the other person taking photos with our Branded Photo App which was linked to the New Zealand Avocado Facebook page.

The customers were offered the chance to win a tray of beautiful New Zealand Avocados and a $100 supermarket voucher. To enter into the draw, they got their fun photo taken with Ollie the Avocado and were sent an e-mail with a link to their e-mail address. The customers then followed the link through to the New Zealand Avocado Facebook page and ‘liked’ the page and ‘tagged’ themselves so that they went into the draw.

For this Ipad App campaign we used the Ollie Avocado selfie frame for the first few sessions and then switched to a Valentines styled frame to tie in with Valentines Day.

The customers were very happy to receive the beautiful samples to try and most were also happy to have their photo taken with Ollie.
