About This Project

Shahana means queen in Hindi – and Kiwi jewellery designer Shehana Kimiangatau wants every woman to feel like royalty.

Alongside her Cook Island-born husband Ben, Shehana has launched a unique jewellery line using pearls from one of the most beautiful and remote corners of the earth.

Grown in Manahiki, a tiny island of just 198 people north of Rarotonga, pearls are seeded in a perfectly climate controlled lagoon and left to cultivate for five years.

Then Shehana steps in and designs pieces, which reflect the unique origins of the pearls.
