Therefore, we’ve tracked down some of the best places with stunning views and ocean breezes to enjoy your sweet treats this summer!

Narrow Neck Beach

Nestled between Devonport and Bayswater, Narrow Neck is a stunning spot on the Shore. Long stretches of beautiful white sand and a lesser-known spot than other North Shore beaches. This is perfect for some peace and quiet to enjoy your icy treat!

Wynyard Quarter

If you’re after a little more hustle and bustle while you enjoy your sweet snacks then Wynyard Quarter is the place to be. This central city, waterfront precinct is amazing and is only going to get better as it undergoes a 25 year urban transformation.

Bastion Point

Just a stroll down from Mission Bay, Bastion Point is just as breath taking. This spot has a rich history as he 1970 Maori protests against forced land alienation happened here, overlooking the Waitemata Harbour. The Michael Savage memorial commemorates the first Labour Prime Minister and also makes an awesome shot for the ‘gram!

North Head – Maungauika

Maungauika is a volcano forming the North Head headland. Another spot full of history, there’s a network of tunnels and bunkers left from when it was used by the military as a coastal defence installation.



Well-known as the wildest beach on the West coast, Piha is an awesome spot for a walk, a swim, and definitely some ice cream!
